The Top 10 Dance Songs of 2021 - According to Duvall

A hitmaker in his own right as well as a founding member of U.K. trio Disciples, Duvall (Nathan Vincent Duvall) has more than earned his spot at the pinnacle of today’s dance music landscape. The accessible and infectious sound of the exclusive Armada Music signee lovingly goes hand in hand with his unique taste in music, and that’s exactly why we wanted his view on the Top 10 Dance Songs of 2021.

10. Purple Disco Machine feat. Eyelar - Dopamine
Purple Disco Machine are an inspiration to me. Especially in this track called ‘Dopamine’ their groove is unparalleled. On top of that, Eyelar is a friend of mine who did a great job on the song and vocal!

9. Shouse - Love Tonight (Vintage Culture & Kiko Franco Remix)

Even though the original is just as powerful, this is probably the edit (or remix) of the year for me. I love how song gives off that irresistible festival vibe. When I play it, people go nuts.

8. Ewan McVicar – Tell Me Something Good

Ewan McVicar’s ‘Tell Me Something Good’ is a very cool edit of a classic soul record. I normally don’t like it when people try to flip records as iconic as this one, but Ewan did such a great job I had to make an exception.

7. Duvall feat. bshp - Every Song

‘Every Song’ (feat. bshp) was my debut single as a solo artist and gave me all the energy I needed to follow through on my dreams. The amazing vocals of bshp make this a timeless record I’ll still be proud of ten years from now.

6. Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd - Moth To A Flame
Two giants came together on this record and they did not disappoint. I love the lyrics of ‘Moth To A Flame’ and the Swedish Mouse Mafia came through with the amazing production.

5. Tiësto feat. Ava Max - The Motto

‘The Motto’ is such a gangster pop house record. If all the bottle clubs had been open this year, it would have taken the number 1 spot for sure.

4. Elton John & Dua Lipa – Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)

It’s easy to ruin a classic, but Australian trio PNAU did such a fine job my wife, mum and grandma all love it. It’s a three-generation hit.

3. Paul Woolford feat. Amber Mark- Heat

‘Heat’ (feat. Amber Mark) is just a great follow-up to Paul Woolford’s huge 2020 hit with Diplo and Kareen Lomax, ‘Looking For Me’.

2. Acraze – Do It To It
Such clever use of a classic song! ‘Do It To It’ by Acraze was made special to me by Zedd’s entrance to his set this year, where he integrated the Squid Games theme song.

1. Martin Garrix feat. Tove Lo - Pressure

‘Pressure’ by Martin Garrix and Tove Lo is hands down one of the most underrated productions of the year. How the synth line rips through the drop is masterful.
