Allen Watts

Hailing from Roden in the north of Holland, he was originally inspired by the Dutch hardcore
sounds of the 90's which gave way to the explosion of trance in his country, as trance gods such
as Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Tiësto and many more paved the way for a new generation
of Dutch trance exports over the next decade and beyond. As well as his Dutch roots, the Allen
Watts sound is heavily inspired by the German trance don Paul Van Dyk. Fast paced, full throttle
trance bass and groove perfectly fused with big chords and massive melodies. After cutting his
teeth on a few smaller labels, Allen has had a steady rise to fame through his releases on Black
Hole Recordings, In Trance We Trust, Mental Asylum, Nocturnal Knights, which led him to be
signed to exclusively in 2018 with Armada Music, Who’s Afraid Of 138?! Being his main home
imprint.

After being blown away time and time again by Allen's productions, the iconic trance legend and
Armada Music boss Armin Van Buuren took the fellow Dutchman under his wing and since then
Allen Watts has become one of the most supported artists of all time on the global phenomenon
that is the 'A STATE OF TRANCE' Radio Show. He also invited this electrifying talent to play at the
mammoth ASOT 850 and 900 events in Utrecht. Other debut and return shows in the UK,
Australia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Germany, Poland, Ibiza and Thailand have also been
completed with many more on the horizon.

Other proud achievements for Allen include mixing the Who’s Afraid Of 138?! Compilation
alongside Blastoyz for Armada Music and being invited by the German Trance legend Talla 2XLC
to mix Volume 59 of the famous Technoclub compilation. Remixing Armin Van Buuren three
times, being in the top selling trance artists on Beatport since 2018 (currently at number 7),
hitting the top on Beatport with his track Arizona, plus regular top 5 positions is all in a day's
work for Allen as he continues to set the bar for uplifting modern trance and gain support from a
A-Z of global hitters within trance on his original productions and sought after remixes.
2020 Allen Watts was presents the award for #42 within the Top 101 Producers by 1001
tracklists.com compiled by supported tracks by Djs, with only 3 Trance Producers ahead of him, a
massive achievement for this Star who keeps smashing every record in front of him.

2020 saw this ever evolving artist launch his very own label and accompanying radio show 'HIGH
VOLTAGE' which has gone from strength to strength. With plans to launch his HV brand into
festival stages and club tours, the next stage awaits for Allen Watts who is tirelessly dedicated to
his craft as the latest big Dutch trance success story.
