Ever since it was dropped onto the scene as an ID track, ‘Foreign Tongues’ has left quite an impression throughout the world of dance music. The song buzzed across the globe, earned itself a feature in Diplo’s radio show on BBC Radio 1 Xtra and had everyone guessing who its makers could be. Now, the word is finally out. None other than Dirtcaps have claimed responsibility for the global buzz, released on their KLASH label.
A more than worthy successor of previous KLASH singles ‘Killa Them’ and ‘Smack That’, ‘Foreign Tongues’ features British songstress Eleni Drake and shows just how multifarious Dirtcaps are as producers. Instead of the raw and club-heavy sounds showcased in the before-mentioned singles, Dirtcaps’ brand-new single sees them choose a much more delicate approach, focusing on luscious atmospheres and a strong arrangement rather than in-your-face beats.
Since embarking on their musical journey in 2008, Dirtcaps have conquered some of the biggest club brands in the game with their dashing live shows. Additionally, the Dutch duo played at the world’s biggest festivals (e.g. Defqon.1 in Chile, Tomorrowland, Tomorrowworld, Mysteryland) and remixed and worked with a full range of Electronic Music superstars that includes Hardwell, W&W, DJ Carnage, Laidback Luke and Coone. Their Trap House sound has taken them way beyond the status of next big thing and ‘Foreign Tongues’ shows that they’re not afraid to show it.
