Blog: 5 remarkable live show locations!

November 23, 2018
As a general rule, live sets or DJ gigs are only as good as the artist performing them. But sometimes, when you get the added bonus of ridiculously unique locations, you might just find the live show in question lifted to surreal heights. In this blog, we’re discussing five remarkable live show locations.

SUNNERY JAMES & RYAN MARCIANO – ROOFTOP PARTY ON IBIZA
We all know that ‘party’ equals ‘Ibiza’ and ‘Ibiza’ equals ‘life’. So if you take Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and put them on the rooftop of DJ Mag’s HQ on Ibiza for an elevating live set, you know you’re getting the good stuff. Latin vibes and house rhythms in abundance in signature SJ&RM fashion.

STEREOCLIP – THE BRUSSELS METRO
Honestly, it doesn’t get any more underground than this. We’re not just referring to the signature sound of Stereoclip, but more so to his incredible live set in the Brussels metro a few years back. Think underground music at an underground location. That’s called a win-win in our book.

ARMIN VAN BUUREN – ON A CRANE, AMSTERDAM
Barely one month ago, during Amsterdam Dance Event 2018, Armin van Buuren announced the anthem for the A State Of Trance 900 events in a rather unorthodox way. Befitting the title of the anthem, ‘Lifting You Higher’, Armin van Buuren took twenty lucky fans sixty meters into the air on a crane with a custom built DJ booth for the live announcement and a short, ASOT anthem-inspired live set. Talking about highlights!

ERICK MORILLO – ARMADA MUSIC’S MINI CLUB, AMSTERDAM
We’re really proud of this one. Now more than a year ago, we welcomed House legend Erick Morillo into our brand-new in-office mini club for the very first ‘Armada Invites’ livestream event. We’re still in love with the overall vibe of the club, the intimate setting and the top-tier sound system (and the free beer), so you’re getting the complete package once you add some quality music to the mix.

ALY & FILA – THE GREAT PYRAMID OF GIZA, EGYPT
It had been in the works for some time, and it was definitely worth the wait. In celebration of the 500th episode of their radio show (Future Sound Of Egypt), Aly & Fila set up shop in front of one of the most iconic landmarks in history and dropped a two-hour live set that’s still buzzing in many Trance fans’ heads.
