After Armada Night in March produced arguably the best atmosphere so far this year, The Gallery faithful have been clamouring for the label’s return to Ministry of Sound.
This next installment with GABRIEL & DRESDEN is sure to surpass the chaos from last time out - they’re a duo that commands the utmost respect from all three of these electronic music ambassadors. Josh Gabriel and Dave Dresden’s stunning production portfolio has come to represent The Gallery’s most defining dance floor moments - notably ‘As The Rush Comes’ (under the alias ‘Motorcyle’), the remix of Above & Beyond’s ‘No One On Earth’, and ‘Tracking Treasure Down’ being particular London favourites. However with every performance embracing the emotion of these flagship tracks plus the Armada imprint itself, G&D’s first Gallery show since 2012 is sure to increase their affinity with the Capital’s clubbers.
Coincidentally, MAX GRAHAM’s previous outing was for the Armada takeover at Ministry last July. Impressing that night with his melodic blend of trance, progressive, house and techno, his faithful representation of the whole electronic spectrum is what has kept Max relevant over an unprecedented career. With the seminal compilation ‘Cycles’ released on Armada and now celebrating its landmark fifth edition, expect the quality tunage that has come to represent this plus the revered Podcast series of the same name.
Last but not least, an eagerly anticipated debut for TOBY HEDGES. Having risen to prominence after winning Armada Music’s remix competition last year, his sun-kissed soundscapes are a perfect homage to The Gallery’s famed and vibrant atmosphere. Productions such as ‘Mirai’ or the remix of ‘See The Sun’ by Matt Darey, are why Toby is sure to become a future hero of SE1.
