The infinite number eight in the year 2008 has meant so much more than just a number.

The infinite number eight in the year 2008 has meant so much more than just a number. To Markus Schulz, 2008 formed a path towards a number 8 position in the DJ Mag Top 100, the celebration of the 50th release of his Coldharbour Recordings label, a new website and forum, a fashionable mix-album for Armani Exchange, broadcasting his radioshow 'Global DJ Broadcast' to more than 20 radiostations worldwide, blazing remixing work for Sia, Mike Foyle and Rex Mundi, residency at Club Amnesia in Ibiza and Ministry of Sound in London and another Essential Mix on Radio 1. But what made it all unforgettable were the the smiles, the cheering, the massive support, the dancing and the great reactions Markus received from you guys. Two-thousand-and-eight has lifted Markus Schulz' musical career to an even higher level. As the year slowly comes to an end, Markus closes down 2008 with his remix for 'Mike Foyle - Bittersweet Nightshade' and starts 2009 with his fitting new single 'The New World'!It's time to look back and ahead as we step in 2009 and remember 2008 as one of the best years in Markus Schulz' life. THE NEW WORLD: the new single!Markus Schulz is back! 'The New World' is the atmospheric trancer that is set to take off a new phase in Markus Schulz' musical career. With the success of his 'Progression' album and his recently acquired number 8 position in the DJ Mag Top 100 still fresh in memory, it's time to shake the crowd with a new type of sound. One that fits the arena's, clubs and hallways of this world. As the official theme of the Czechian 'Transmission' event, it has surely made the crowds move. Markus: 'In November I played at my third Transmission event in Prague, Czech Republic. The organizers of the event asked me to compose a special theme for the night. When you play in the big arenas, you need a special type of track in your set to work exclusively for that type of setting. This is why 'The New World' is slightly more techy and upfront. I get inspired seeing wave upon wave of people in these arena's, the sheer volume of the crowd can take your breath away sometimes. So you need to make something that really strikes home with everyone in the arena, whether they are right up at the front or back. But I feel that the track still has my trademark groove and melody.''The New World' comes with an original mix and a slightly more progressive, darker Coldharbour remix. 'The New World' welcomes you to Markus Schulz' sound!'The New World' is available for download at ringtone of 'The New World' is also available here at Armada Mobile
