Armada Music launches weekly Top 40
From today on, Dutch record company Armada Music will publish its very own Top 40, available for free streaming on Spotify. The list is a collection of the most popular tracks of all sublabels of the company, based on sales, downloads and social media activity. Every Friday, Armada's Top 40 will be updated and every quarter, a digital compilation with the highlights of those 3 months will be released. The number one of the first edition of this chart and therefore the most popular Armada track of the week, is Armin van Buuren's collaboration with Nadia Ali, 'Feels So Good'.
With the launch of this Top 40, Armada Music continues to stimulate the use of free music medium Spotify. At the end of March, Armada Music was one of the first labels with more than 5000 subscribers. By coupling the Armada Top 40 to a digital compilation, the 'Best Global Record Label' links the streaming of music to legal downloads.
Other remarkable chart positions include the new single of Paul Oakenfold, who released his new compilation 'Never Mind The Bollocks…Here's Paul Oakenfold' this week. He takes in the 8th position with his Marco V collaboration, 'Groove Machine'. Both finalists of SEAT's Next DJ contest, who released their own single in early July, are this week's 2 highest new entries. Renvo collaborated with W&W, resulting in 'Breakout', currently number 26 in the Top 40. DiVasco was invited into the Signum studio's and their track 'Heat' now takes in number 28. Other names in the very first Armada Top 40 are Chicane, Mischa Daniels, Markus Schulz and Dash Berlin.
