Armada Music kicks off 2010 with Armada Night @ Westerunie
Once the holiday season has come and gone and '2010' has become a reality, it’ll be time to kick off the new year in style. On Saturday January 30th 2010’s first Armada night will be held in Amsterdam’s Westerunie.
It’s still a little early on in the year to be thinking about summer, but we’re pretty sure we’re not the only ones longing for sunshine and warm weather. You can’t do too much about the weather, but for those summer vibes we have the Balearic trance king Roger Shah. Known for his smooth Balearic sound, Shah has wowed crowds around the world with tracks like ‘White Sand’, ‘Who Will Find Me’ and ‘Going Wrong’. The latter in collaboration with the one and only – Armin van Buuren.
The Dutch trance duo Signum, delivering timeless trance tunes these past 15 years, have shown a different side to themselves this past summer, with their progressive hit ‘Riddles in the Sand’. The track worked magic on the dance floors of Ibiza and rocked crowds across the globe. The Westerunie is next in line.
Not a stranger to summer tinged hits himself, we’ve got the Norwegian DJ/producer Ørjan Nilsen on the line-up. His track ‘La Guitarra’ was the ultimate summer hit in 2008. No party, festival, club or radio station was immune to the track’s catchy guitar melody . Ørjan's diverse sound, which hovers between tech-trance and progressive, will be a welcome addition to what is shaping up to be a very promising night.
Roger Shah, Signum and Ørjan Nilsen will be backed up by Dutch DJ ElSandro. Resident DJ of Armada night and A&R man of the mighty Armada label – Elsandro's gearing up to release his first solo production 'Style Fusion' and will warm up the Armada night crowd with a heady mix of progressive, house and trance.
Four names to kick off the new year in a big way and bring the summer of 2010 just a little bit closer.
