Not many people see happy little yellow smiley-face balls and think ‘I bet I can make something freakishly dark and massive out of this’, but then again, it takes a twisted mind to be Simon Patterson in the first place. The man was clearly on a mission when he remixed ‘Ping Pong’, because this version is almost dangerously evil and calculating. Patterson brought out a side of the original that only he knew was there, and that’s what makes this release so sick.
