SAY SAY
Born and raised in respectively Munich and Düsseldorf, both AY AY and Seizo displayed an early interest in music: one through two generations of professional musicians in the family, the other by hitting the drums until the neighbours forced him to switch to the keyboard of the piano. Eventually, both graduated in music production and were signed in their late teens.
While Seizo played the turntables at Europe’s biggest clubs and events (e.g. Coco Beach in Italy, Papaya Club and Culture Club Revelin in Croatia, and Bootshaus, Parookaville and Airbeat One in Germany), remixed tracks from the likes of Lost Frequencies and Kye Sones, and garnered over 18 million streams on Spotify for his first single, AY AY became a diamond certified artist who sold one million copies for his first (and multiple-gold-awarded) release as a writer and producer. More cuts with Felix Jaehn, Lena and Galantis followed, as well as new work alongside Whatsonot, SONDR, Twhyxclusive, KLP, Jem Cooke and Karen Harding. AY AY boasts 2.5 million streams on Spotify, respectively graced the Top 3 and the Top 60 in the Italian and German charts, and was nominated for ‘Best Video of 2019’ at the XITE Music Awards NL.
In 2016, they met each other for the first time. And after years of acquaintance and professional friendship, SAY SAY was born. It is the emotionality and depth – created by the dark original sound running though their work – that makes this symbiosis unique. They write, produce and DJ equally, focussed mainly on strong House instrumentals and popping vocals.
