Coldharbour Selections Part 29August 23rd, 2012
Continuing Coldharbour’s momentous summer 2012 output is one of the label’s founding traditions, where Markus Schulz presents three handpicked tracks that have dominated the Global DJ Broadcast airwaves and his livesets for a consistent period – the 29th edition of Coldharbour Selections.
Leading the way is a songstress who already has cemented her legacy in Coldharbour folklore. Reviving the Coast 2 Coast classic for her second album Brave, Susana’s efforts on Home are nothing short of breathtaking. Romanian stalwart Mr. Pit delivers some of his best work to date on remix duties. A highlight of the Los Angeles ’12 release parties and A State of Trance 550′s celebrations, this graceful remake will be fondly appraised.
Making their Coldharbour debut are a pair of upcoming Dutch talents. Fisherman & Hawkins, consisting of Isaac Vissers and Rob Koopmans, deliver a monster for the dancefloor, possessing a tough and driving bassline with a techy lead to match. A surprise highlight of
Markus’ contribution to the Electric Daisy Carnival aftermath in Las Vegas, the track has been one of the anthems of the Ibiza Summer Sessions season – a recommended liveset inclusion.
Last but not least, Dutchman Aerofoil teams up with Norwegian pair E&G to deliver Oslo Anthem – a poignant tribute to the atrocities that occurred in the city and country during the summer of 2011. With an incredibly emotional melody and tone, it is difficult not to be moved by their efforts after listening.
Some of the greatest Coldharbour moments have been delivered through the medium of the Coldharbour Selections series. These three on offer may well present some more.
