Classic of the week: Veracocha – Carte BlancheJuly 14th, 2012
As soon as you hear this week’s classic of the week, you’re gonna party like it’s ‘99! That year, the dance scene rocked to the beat of Veracocha and its biggest hit ‘Carte Blanche’. Up until today, this trance classic lives on. It became number 18 in the Trance Top 1000 of 2011, and still gets a regular spin at festivals and clubs. Time for an introduction to ‘Carte Blanche’!
Dutchies Vincent de Moor and Ferry Corsten are responsible for quite a few classics. In 1999,when they first decided to team up, the guys remixed ‘Ayla- Ayla’. A legendary remix that was soon followed by that one trance essential: ‘Carte Blanche’. With its outburst of energy, melodic power and catchy piano, it manages to catch you, time and again. ‘Carte Blanche’ has left its mark upon dance history. Even in 2008, when the track was re-released with an ingenious and bouncy remix by Dutch producer Michael de Kooker, this ultimate trancer still worked. That year, it ended up in the Dutch Top 40, and took another spin in the global clubs.
We’re guessing that ‘Veracocha – Carte Blanche’ will resound on the dance floor for many more years to come. Do you agree? Relive those memories, and check it out in the official Trance Top 1000 playlist on Spotify!
