July 8th, 2012

It’s time for a trip inside your mind. Relive your memories and re-discover some of the ultimate moments in dance history, and its music. For this week’s classic of the week, we travel back no less than 7 years in time. In 2005, it was Andy Moor’s ‘Halcyon’ that made the trance masses fall in love with the music.

‘Halycon’ was definitely one of Armin van Buuren’s favourite records. And not just Armin, all major trance DJ’s of that time fell in love with it. UK producer Andy Moor delivered the perfect combination of progressive grooves and  warm trancey vibe, with the lovely, edited and chopped up vocals of Danu Lucas. Featured on Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance 2005 album and played out by the big DJ’s, the track was fine printed in the minds of numerous trance lovers.

And it still is in ours. ‘Halcyon’ is part of trance legacy, and of Andy Moor’s. The UK producer has just released his debut album, ‘Zero Point One’, and for you to know where he’s coming from, it might be a great idea to start your musical trip with ‘Halcyon’.
