Label of the month: Cyber Records

May 5th, 2011

Cyber Records is one of Armada’s sublabels, going back into music history for nearly 2 decades. Cyber Records, established in 1994 by Dutch producer Johan Cyber, has released more than 95 stunning tracks, by the likes of Armin van Buuren, Yahel, 16 Bit Lolitas, Split Second, Jaydee, Ohmna, Nukem and Rex Mundi. Big productions and hidden jewels found their way to Armada Music, as Johan sold the label to us in 2007 to focus on his career as the producer behind the Ohmna moniker.

The Cyber Records label has been a solid base for artists with a funky (prog-)trance attitude for years, and its back catalogue includes the marvelous hits ‘Armin van Buuren – Blue Fear’, ‘Ohmna – People Get Lost’, ‘Yahel – Devotion’, ‘Argonaut – Your Body Is A Temple’, ‘Johan Cyber – Crash’, ‘Armin van Buuren – Lost Soul Society’, ‘Nukem vs Chab – Shaiva’, ‘Split Second – Midnight Express’ and many more gems . Heading into the deep,  it’s proggy edged releases all have a their own character.

This month, the month of May, is all about Cyber Records. Take a deep dive into history and discover the releases on the Cyber Recordings YouTube channel, including some of Armin’s elder beat-beauties and many other fantastic tracks by some of the trance’s most influencing producers.
