Armin van Buuren rocks the Museumplein

The Dutch soccer team may not have won the FIFA Worldcup, but that didn’t stop the Dutch people from celebrating and honouring its players. After a round trip by boat through the canals of Holland’s capital, the team was honoured at the Radio 538 Museumplein in Amsterdam, where a 200.000 strong crowd gave them a more than warm welcome. Armin van Buuren was given the honour to play for the team and Museumplein crowd, and turned the ‘huldiging’ into one big, outrageous party.

A sea of orange spread out in front of Armin, who rocked the Museumplein stage with the full Dutch soccer team right next to him. Wesley Sneijder, one of the players, even treated the number one DJ to a beer, as they danced around the DJ booth. Check the video of Armin opening and the full team partying here on YouTube.

Armin van Buuren, who produced ‘Rush Hour’ as the official theme of the UEFA European Championship under 21 just 3 years ago, is no stranger to playing in front of big crowds. This year, to support the release of his fourth artist album ‘Mirage’, he has an extensive Armin Only worldtour planned.
