Armada Music reveals producers in YouTube Singing Competition

July 16th, 2010

The wait is over! It’s time to reveal which producers the three winners  of the Armada YouTube Singing Competition will be working with….  Would you like to collaborate with Ernesto vs Bastian, Roger Shah or Shogun?

Over a hundred YouTube users have uploaded their video to the special Competition group. Once uploaded on the Armada Music Competition playlist, hundreds of people left their ‘like’ or ‘dislike’ as an official vote. However, it is not the amount of ‘likes’ that decide who’s the official winner. It are the producers they’ll be working with that pick their favourite singer and give you the chance to collaborate together. The Competition closes July 30th and  the winners will be announced August 4th.

Ernesto vs Bastian

After signing to Armada Music this year, Dutch producer-duo Ernesto vs. Bastian, known for their ‘Dark Side of The Moon’ and Trance Energy 2008 theme ‘Thrill’, once again showed trance-land what they’re made off. Their new track  ‘Every Inch A King’ was supported by Cosmic Gate, Paul Oakenfold, Dash Berlin and several other A-list DJ’s.

Roger Shah

German producer/DJ Roger Shah has earned his place amongst the big players in the trance. Under his DJ Shah, Sunlounger and Savannah aliases and with many collaborations and remixes, Shah became known for a typical sound: Balearic, melodic trance. When it comes to vocals, hit singles ‘Back To You’, ‘Who Will Find Me’, ‘Lost’ and ‘Going Wrong’ say it all. Many vocalists dream of working with the Magic Island label owner. The contestant that he names the winner, will work on a track for his new album.

American producer Andrew Chen made his Armada debut in 2010 with vocal progressive track ‘Nadia’, under the Shogun moniker and featuring the vocals of UK singer Hannah Ray. ‘Save Me’ with vocalist Emma Lock was the official follow-up, released in June 2010, and topped the Beatport Trance Chart with a number one position as well as being supported by the likes of Gareth Emery, Paul van Dyk and Cosmic Gate. Andrew has claimed residency in the world-famous Ministry of Sound club and graduated with an Audio Engineering Degree in 2006. Things are looking bright for this producer talent, with another vocal track coming up for August and plenty more ideas lined up for the future, with a role left for one of the winners of the Competition.
