Spotlight label: 68 RecordingsMay 21st, 2010
If the diversity of tech-house, progressive and techno tickles your fancy, the 68 Recordings label is your one true asylum. Set up by Dutch producer/ DJ Remy, the label has been going strong for more than 4 years already. There’s no limit to the label’s wide sound: wicked tech-beats and intricate melodic prog blend together in one open-minded whole. Some track releases don’t let themselves be labeled, are simply indefinable or just fit any type of set.
Every single release, close to 30 so far, is a sure-shot at dancefloor mayhem. Artists like Eelke Kleijn, David Forbes, Luke Chable, Blake Jarrell, Roland Klinkenberg, Ruben de Ronde, Tony Scott, Jerome Isma-Ae, Andreas Bergmann and many more represent the sound that Remy Unger had in mind. The next release is another Remy EP, under his Gerry Menu alias, coming out at the end of June.
As one of the 26 sublabels of Armada Music, 68 Recordings is also represented on YouTube. On the 68 Recordings YouTube page you’ll find a selection of its releases and exclusive previews of new tracks. For a short introduction with the label, check the 68 Recordings welcome video!
