Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance 2010’ dominates worldwide charts

Armin van Buuren’s ‘A State of Trance 2010′ reached high positions in the global charts on its first day of release. In the United States, Canada, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Greece, the album reached a number 1 position in Dance Charts on the main digital download platforms within hours after its official release.

It rocks charts, with firm Top 5 positions in countries such as Australia, Japan and the United Kingdom alike. On social networking website Twitter the ‘A State of Trance’ brand rapidly became one of the ‘trending topics’.

This 7th edition of Armin’s ‘ASOT’ compilation series represents all quality trance, progressive and other music ahead and on its way to becoming the future favorites of the dance scene. The remix van Buuren recently made for the new Faithless track, ‘Not Going Home’, is included, together with brand new and unreleased tracks from artists as Susana, Ørjan Nilsen and Andy Moor. Since 2 weeks the album was available in an exclusive pre-order on iTunes and previews of all tracks can be listened to on Armada Music’s popular YouTube channel. The physical CD will be in stores worldwide next Friday, April 9th. The number 1 release in US and Canada is being issued by Napith Music, a New York based label founded in 2009, in which Armada Music participates.

Along with the release, five events are being held on the occasion of the 450th episode of ‘A State of Trance’, Armin van Buuren’s radio show, being listened to by at least 10 million listeners every week. The kickoff of this event series took place in Toronto, Canada and gets a follow up by two events in New York and later in Poland and Slovakia. All events are being broadcast via A State of Trance.com, including all guest mixes by the biggest names and upcoming stars from today’s dance scene. The official theme song ‘450’ by Sebastian Brandt is also included on the brand new ‘A State of Trance 2010’ compilation.Very shortly Armada Music will also release a special ‘A State of Trance 2010’ app for mobile phones.
