John Shelvin – Temptation 2010
The year 2009 won’t be forgotten soon, if it’s up to Spanish producer John Shelvin. The passionate producer and DJ, that seems to have the all main ingredients to produce a noteworthy track securely locked in his head, looks back onto three big releases. ‘Just Like You Said’, ‘Petite Comité’ and ‘Black Moon’ paved the way to an even better 2010, which kicks off with ‘Temptation’. A powerful house tune with indescribable influences and a pair of vocals that’ll linger in your mind for a long time going. A tempting, bit of dramatic tune in which tasty progressive makes out with piano-driven house.

EnMass feat. Cari Golden – So Please 2010
6 years after its first release, a legendary classic returns. 2004 was the year in which Eric Tadla and Randy Boyer touched timelessness with a warm trancer called ‘So Please’. As the B-side of chart-stormer ‘CQ’, the track kicked off an era of success for both producers. Unfortunately, the promising story of Enmass came to an end after Eric Tadla passed away in July 2008. A sad day for music, but as one of the producers of over 9 originals he will always be remembered through his sounds.
In 2010, Randy Boyer breathes new life into Enmass with an updated version of ‘So Please’. Totally upfront and produced for the unforgettable peak time moments on the floor, Randy hands in a new Enmass highlight.
Russian producer Alexander Popov pays his respect to Enmass with another remix of ‘So Please’. Alexander already proved to be in total control of a fine proggy trance sound with ‘Everest’ and ‘Metropolis’ on the AVA label, so it’s no wonder that his remix follows these same rules. Around the tender vocals of Shimika Brice, Popov built a chunky progressive jewel, shaped up for 2010 adventures.

M6 & Klauss Goulart – Hidden Light
Two Captivating Sounds producers bundle their strengths on a new, ear-tingling track. Dutch producer Mark Sixma, who’s delivered one fine EP after another over the past few years, is one of the forces. His ‘Opus Sectum’, ‘Fade 2 Black’ and previous collabs with B.E.N. and Willem van Hanegem still sweep today’s floors.
One of the up and coming producers in Brazil, Klauss Goulart, is responsible for the other 50 percent of this promising team-up. His melodic and trancy ‘Deep Universe’ reached deep into the scene, with support by the big stars of the DJ society. M6 remixed his ‘Deep Universe’ and so the link was made.
A fine combo these guys make. As where M6 fills in all needs of atmosphere and a classical touch, Klauss Goulart makes sure the right kicks and just amount of distortion keep ‘Hidden Light’ going at the speed of sound. ‘Hidden Light’ is one for peak-time pleasure, with a throbbing bass and massive hands-in-the-air-break.
The Polish big room experts of Skytech shook this baby right up to a speaker-squeaky highlight with a serene proggy sound. It’s time to light the floors with ‘Hidden Light’.

Ashley Wallbridge – Harmonies / Melodies
With a new monster-duo out on AVA following ‘Chimera’, which is still rocking the clubs and charts alike, you can’t escape the production genius of Ashley Wallbridge. From the shady and upfront ‘Masquerade’ to the uplifting ‘Shotokan’, we fast forward to these lovely beat-babies like two cherries-on-top that will flavour your days for the next couple of months.
‘Harmonies’ and ‘Melodies’ are Wallbridge at his sharpest again, setting forth a balanced and groovy mix of prog, house and trance. Mingled with deep, rough-edged vocal chops and euphonious melodies to bounce it all back, this Ashley Wallbridge EP will pass the torch of all his past successes.

Mike Foyle pres. Statica – Deadly Nightshade
A seductive, beautiful creation of mother Nature, the deadly nightshade is. With its dark and purplish flowers and inviting berries, the plant that is also known as the Devil’s Herb was the mean inspiration to UK producer Mike Foyle. Touching the very tips of the dark side of progressive, he captures the essence of this poisonous plant and translates it into another rich-sounding and jet-black jewel of a track. As the official follow-up to ‘Bittersweet Nightshade’ it contains some of the same haunting elements and sticks to that endlessly deep and atmospheric production style. Mike:” I was really pleased with how ‘Bittersweet Nightshade’ turned out. So I decided to do a follow-up in a similar style. I think that ‘Deadly Nightshade’ is my favorite production to date.”
Remixes for this diabolically good track come straight out of the studios of Dutch producer Phynn and Ukrainian sound-creator R.E.N.O.I.S.E. As where Phynn chops the track to delicate bits and pieces and puzzles them back with his characteristic big room melodies to a fitting whole, R.E.N.O.I.S.E. lets ‘Deadly Nightshade’ slide off into a pure progressive treat.
The Phynn remix of ‘Deadly Nightshade’ was already featured on Markus Schulz’ ‘Las Vegas ’10′ compilation.

M.I.K.E. pres. Caromax – Silk / All Good Things
Belgian producer M.I.K.E. is back with another Caromax release, easing his tech-trance sound to a warmer, deeper proghouse feel that suits the Pilot 6 imprint. After ‘Logic’, ‘Oasis of Dreams’, ‘X3′ and ‘It Ain’t Over’, the third Caromax EP hits in even deeper. ‘All Good Things’ has a good sense of drama and touches the trance synths that Mike is known for, but doesn’t slip off into the harder trance we’re used to. Same goes for ‘Silk’, a track that doesn’t just scratch the surface but gets you on the inside.
