First new single ‘Best Of Chicane’ album scores Dance Smash on Radio 538

The first new single of the ‘Best of Chicane’ album, released on Armada Music on May 25th, has been chosen as the official new Radio 538 Dance Smash. ‘Bruised Water’, the collaboration of Chicane, an alias of British producer Nick Bracegirdle, with British singer Natasha Bedingfield, is therefore the most important dance track for the upcoming week on the number one Dutch radiostation.
The track is a mash-up of Top 20 listed Bedingfield single ‘I Bruise Easily’ of 2005, and Chicane’s 1999 megahit ‘Saltwater’. Natasha Bedingfield has already scored worldwide hits with ‘These Words’ and ‘Unwritten’ and has globally sold more than 10 million singles and albums. Next to being played as Dance Smash, the track also receives regular airplay on Slam FM! and all local dance stations. Next to that, the music video is shown on TMF on a regular base. The video of ‘Bruised Water’ already received 200.000 views on the populare Youtube channel of record company Armada Music and will be the first single of the ‘Best Of Chicane’ album. ‘Bruised Water’ is now available for download via several digital downloadportals and as a CD-single in the well-known record stores. Next to the radio edit, remixes has been made by Mischa Daniels, Michael Woods and Adam K & Soha. Michael Woods recently scored a big hit with his remix of Energy 52′s ‘cafè Del Mar’.
Under the Chicane guise, Bracegirdle released 3 artist albums, 16 productions and numerous remixes. The most well-known tracks are ‘Saltwater’, ‘OffShore’ and collaborations with superstars Bryan Adams (‘Don’t Give Up’) and Tom Jones (‘Stoned In Love’). ‘The Best Of Chicane’ brings all these legendary dance classics together and adds new tracks to it, such as an exclusive collaboration with Keane and the first single ‘Bruised Water’ with Natasha Bedingfield.
Armada Music, that is co-owned by number one DJ of the world Armin van Buuren and was recently awarded for ‘Best Global Dance Label’ at the 2009 International Dance Music Awards in Miami, has launched a special website with all information on the ‘Best of Chicane’ album.
