With the release of the new theatre movie; Wild Romance, on November 9th in mind, Armin van Buuren came up with a new version of Herman Brood’s ‘Saturday Night’.
The single will be released on October 30th.

Back in 1978 Herman Brood wrote his biggest hit Saturday Night. However the song didn’t become Herman’s highest ranked song in the Dutch charts, it did become his most famous and characterizing song ever. Armin van Buuren’s remix of Saturday Night will be released on October 30th but the associated videoclip will be launched two weeks earlier on all music stations. The single also contains the trailer of Wild Romance.

Armin van Buuren is one of the worlds leading DJ’s. He’s holding firm to 3rd place in the prestigious DJ MAG Top 100 for three years in a row now. Last year, Armin van Buuren also scored hits that made it into the Dutch charts with a.o. ‘Shivers’, ‘Sail’ and ‘Serenity’.
His hit tune of the moment; Armin van Buuren vs. Racoon – Love You More, was one of the highlights of his sold out Armin Only show in Ahoy which took place November 2005.
On November 11th this year the event will take place again.
From September 9th Armin got his own Radio show at the British radio station Kiss FM. It’s the first time in history a Dutch man is broadcasted weekly on British air.

Jean van de Velde directed Wild Romance with main characters; Daniel Boissevain (Herman Brood) and Marcel Hensema (Koos). The film is showing the first 5 years (1974-1979) of Herman Brood’s Rock ‘n Roll career.
When the young Koos van Dijk is searching for a podium act for his recently opened bar he runs in to the at the time unknown Herman Brood and it ‘s love at first sight. Together they head off to America to try their luck. Wild Romance is a movie about a unique friendship involving sex, drugs and Rock ‘n Roll.

The single Saturday Night will be released on October 30th by Sony BMG together with Armada Music.

Independent Films will release Wild Romance in the Dutch cinemas from November 9th.
