John O'Callaghan & Audrey Gallagher - Bring Back The SunSUBC021 - March 14th, 2011
The longevity of tracks is something you can't predict. But anyone with a bit of knowledge in trance music knows that the first collaboration of John O'Callaghan and Audrey Gallagher will live on for many years to come. 'Big Sky', 2007's biggest trance track, has turned into a modern classic. A classic that was hammered by the club & elite DJ's and radio jocks for months in row, as well as being voted number one trance tune of 2007 on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance show. But the Irishman wouldn't be where is today if he didn't have his eyes fixed on the future. With his 'Unfold' artist album set for release halfway April, John has some new classics at hand. Coming on strong, with the same power of 'Big Sky', he now finally presents the official follow-up: 'Bring Back The Sun'.
John never fails to get your pulse rate higher. Scintillating beams of melody warm the pulsating beat, making you lose yourself in the track completely. Audrey's mind dazzling voice, carried upon a high tempo piece of perfection, still hasn't met its equal. Blessed with a sound like no other, her bittersweet vocals take 'Bring Back The Sun' to the level of a track that has yet to grow the status of a classic.
'Bring Back The Sun' will get the beams out for everyone into the trance and proggy type of music, bringing you its different facades with a variety of remixes. Max Graham focused on the sunshine side of the track with a trancy proghouse touch that accentuates the warm, feel-good sense of it. Josh Gabriel, a mastermind in remixing for more than 20 years, aimed for diversity with a remix that lies between house, electro and warm progressive. Last but not least, Steve Helstrip brings in a lush prog-trancy Thrillseekers remix, gentle like the spring's first touch of sun.
