Protoculture feat. Shannon Hurley - Sun Gone Down

RBR019 - July 3rd, 2011

South African producer Nate Raubenheimer makes up for one very special, musical story. This multi-talent started his way up learning to play jazz and classical piano, before getting the chance to participate on producing small film soundtracks. After discovering the electronic side of life, he switched the movie themes to floor-sweeping break-beats sounds, rocking the people out of their chairs. In the meantime, Nate adopted a new moniker, Protoculture, and embraced the deep wonders of night-black progressive.

After his 'Early Bird' release, Protoculture returns to Max Graham's ReBrand imprint, also home to his 'Silver' and 'Black Sun' E.P.. His new one, 'Sun Gone Down', features the lovely vocals of Shannon Hurley. 'Sun Gone Down' rides a warm, deep melody, weaved in with a progressive trance beat. A flawless example of a peak-time track that pours nothing but pure passion for music.

Remix duties are piling up for German producer Alex M.O.R.P.H., being one of the most-requested remixers of the moment. But never does he lose that spark, delivering soulful, high quality remixes time after time. Same goes for the remix in this pack. Together with Chriss Ortega, he kept the light shining bright on 'Sun Gone Down', handing in a melodic prog-trancer with a tender feel to it.
