Orjan Nilsen - Lovers Lane

ARMD1078 - July 19th, 2010

Within the past years, the productions of Ørjan Nilsen proved to be anything but boring. Whether we’re talking about arousing house, tricky electro or deep progressive, everything this multitalent touches turns into true, danceable gold. With his previous releases ‘La Guitarra’, ‘Bloodtrain’ and ‘So Long Radio’ he invited you to go crazy on the dancefloor. His guitarbased track ‘Lovers Lane’ however, keeps its focus on pure summer sounds. This is one of them tracks that makes you long for beautiful sunsets on the beach - instantly. With its mellifluous melody and gentle build-up it proves to be an absolute summer anthem. It already rocked Armin’s ‘A State of Trance 2010’ album, so Ørjan’s close to becoming the king of trancy summer anthems.

No strangers to stunning sunsets and wild clubbing hours, we find Maltese duo Tenishia on the remix-duties. Joven Grech and Cyprian Cassar present two reworks of ‘Lovers Lane’, both with a gentle vocal as an extra vibe to it. Their ‘Tenishia Bad Lane Remix’ certainly goes down the lane of deep, moody progressive sounds, while the ‘Tenishia Remix’ is a little more uplifting than its original version. The soul-soothing prog-trance sound of Norwegian duo The Blizzard, previously heard on their ‘Iselilja’ and Susana & Ohnia collab ‘Closer’, now returns on their remix of ‘Lovers Lane’. In fact a must-have package that’s as multifaceted as Ørjan’s production style itself.
