Trance Top 1000 – 2013: Gaia – Tuvan #1

During his A State of Trance radio show, Armin van Buuren had the honour of announcing his very own ‘Gaia – Tuvan’ track as the ‘ultimate trance track of all-time’. The track, released under Armin’s Gaia moniker, became the most voted track on the 2013 edition of the Trance Top 1000. The official and independent Trance Top 1000 list, also published in 2010 and 2011, is a great reflection of how old classics and future classics impact the music taste of today’s trance lovers. In the Top 3 this year, are Armin van Buuren (under his Gaia moniker), Delerium and Tiësto.

Thousands of votes on tracks and remixes came in, reflecting upon more than 20 years of trance music history. What’s striking about the 2013 edition of the Trance Top 1000, is the fact that it’s not only filled with 90’s classics, but also with new tracks by upcoming names. ‘Rank 1 – Airwave’, the number one in 2011, is now 7th on the Top 1000. Other Top 20 tracks are those of Paul van Dyk, ATB, Sasha, Oceanlab, Motorcycle and Dash Berlin.

A State of Trance returns to the white isle

After a mesmerizing world tour with A State of Trance (ASOT) 600 ‘The Expedition’ the good people at ALDA Events are proud to continue the extraordinary vibes of A State of Trance in a brand new Ibiza season. The magic will return on Monday 17 June when the world’s biggest club Privilege will be the venue for the kick-off event, followed by a weekly party welcoming a major league of DJs, brought together by ASOT mastermind Armin van Buuren. Never before so many music lovers turned to A State of Trance as during this year’s ASOT600 world tour. Aptly titled ‘The Expedition’ the event travelled to twelve different cities, covering several continents while spreading the unique vibes of ASOT’s music and artists. Now the expedition continues onto the famous white isle for yet another ground breaking Ibiza summer season.

In 2012 ASOT landed in Ibiza for the first time and last year we witnessed some spectacular nights with ASOT’s ‘Invasion’ tour, this year ALDA Events is set to surpass the immense success of the Ibiza Mondays at Privilege. The experiences of the sold out ASOT600 tour will be taken along to the beautiful surroundings of the island, creating the perfect setting for what might just be the most exciting club event there is!

Monday 17 June will see the kick-off event with Armin van Buuren welcoming a star line-up consisting of DJs Dash Berlin, W&W and Cosmic Gate. The second room will be hosted by Ibizan Heat bringing the sounds of DJs Nick the Kidd, Rick Valentine and Subbassdj.com.

And then they’re off! ALDA Events will present ASOT every Monday night at Privilege until the closing party at September 23^rd. Just like before every dance music enthusiast around the globe will be coming over for a visit, drawn to Ibiza, the clubs and ASOT events by amazing line-ups and magical nights that have shaken the imagination of partypeople for years now.

Now it’s time to take things further. ASOT at Privilege is broadening its limits, making it the party you cannot afford to miss.
