A little crossover never harmed anyone. Especially not Chicane, who has made the borders of pop music and dance fade and combined the best of both worlds. Nick Bracegirdle had the honour to work with some very high profile artists, from Bryan Adams on 'Don't Give Up' to Tom Jones on 'Stoned In Love', Maire Brennan on the legendary classics 'Saltwater'. Yes, Chicane's keeping his mind open to the indefinable possibilities of music. Another beautiful result of that, is the sedative and seductive 'Middledistancerunner'.
The voice guiding you on this prog-house tranquilizer, is no one less than Adam Young, the lead-singer of 'Fireflies' sensation Owl City. 'Fireflies' became a worldwide hit, and made it to the number one on the US Charts for 2 weeks. A little less mainstream, but with that same calming feel over it, is 'Middledistancerunner'. Chicane and Adam Young appears to be a golden combination. Adam's soothing vocals, together with Chicane's spine-tingling piano, catchy melody and ever-leading beats are all you need to take the crowd to another dimension.
If the album or single mix doesn't do it for you, you can also pick up the even warmer DC Rework or much more housy, danceable remix of Nigel Mihell & Johnny Pinkfinger.
