Known for the warm, prog-trancy vocal beat-beauties 'Am I Wrong' and 'Changed'.

Nash & Pepper, also known as Nicolas Geniets and Steven Pepermans, have been friends since the early age of three. They grew up in the same street, went to the same school and caught the dance producing bug when they were sixteen. Nash had his share of experience as a DJ and Pepper was interested in anything that had to do with bits & bytes.

Their first feat was a remix for Mauritz Engelen, better known as Maurizzio. The Nash & Pepper remix of the successor to his remake of the Eurythmics single ‘New Emotion’, ‘Feelings’, received a warm welcome and ended up in the charts for the very first time. Today, they are at 15 releases, as either Nash & Pepper or any of their other monikers. Together with producer Svenson, they made the tracks ‘Inside Out’ and ‘Wicked Life’, after which they decided it was time for a small break.

It was the summer of 2009 when the guys got back to together and made a swell kickstart to their following career. After some networking, they got back in the game with a few firing remixes, of which one for Technotronic’s ‘Pump Up The Jam’. Nash & Pepper asked Erik Lake to co-operate on production and so the dance train left the station and the studio was more ready than ever to head for a long, far and high destination.

The first production to be injected in the dance scene, was the hauntingly beautiful ‘Am I Wrong’. A vocal trance track, with warm progressive beats and the astonishing vocals by Reshum ( Rogue Raven), released on Armada Music’s S107 label. The follow-up to that one, ‘Changed’, is all ready to take its listeners on an exciting, musical journey once again.

Keep an eye on these guys, cause they’re about to win you over with all things needed for musical synergy.

The Scandinavian producer/DJ duo Lemon & Einar K are back! On Armada no less.

They are responsible for some of the most beautiful trance tracks over the recent years. Who doesn´t remember Anticipation? Or their stunning remix of Markus Schulz and Andy Moor´s Daydream? Their list is starting to get impressive.

What you may not know is that Ferry Corsten did a remix of their track ‘All I Wanna Do’” already back in 2004. The project was called Aven and With the beautiful vocals from Ida Helen this track is considered a trance classic amongst many people and was big in clubs and featured on compilations all over the world.

They also did a collab with DJ Shog From Germany and wrote and made vocals for both Surround me with your love and Feel me through the radio that both made a great impact.

Now they are ready with new productions on A State Of Trance, new remixes and have started a monthly radio show on www.ah.fm.

Expect more from them very soon.

Exploring the inner layers of trance, he keeps his mind open to all styles within and has a bright-looking future ahead.

Borja Iglesias Touceda, better known as Dimension, is currently on his way up in the trance and progressive scene. Born in 1988 in the coastal city of Vigo, Spain, he attended piano class from the age of 10 on. Working on his own melodic interpretations, it didn’t take long until he bumped into the trance style – and found it was his true vocation.

It was the year 2000 that he started to produce as a hobby, and only 3 years later recorded his first home-made album, followed by another one in 2005. In 2009, it was time to change practice for the serious stuff, and his first release was a fact. A close friendship with producer Fast Distance leads to his first remix, released on the VANDIT label. The remix was heavily supported by Paul van Dyk, who included the remix on his Annual Vonyc Sessions compilation. Shortly after, Dimension started collaborating with Fast Distance and their tracks were included on Roger Shah’s ‘Music For Balearic People Vol. 2’ compilation. After that, he took another step further in his solo career, with two new original themes included on the 3rd Volume of ‘Music For Balearic People’, ‘Opposing Worlds’ and ‘Cies’.

With his tracks supported by the A-list DJ’s and a constant drive to produce more, Dimension is definitely pushing things forward. Exploring the inner layers of trance, he keeps his mind open to all styles within and has a bright-looking future ahead.

Tim Berg (Tim Bergling) is the alias of amazing young talent Avicii, making room to allow for his darker productions to grow. With the long anticipated release of summer 2009 Alcoholic on Joia Records already topped world leading DJ charts for months before official drop. The track has been played all over Ibiza during the summer by the chosen few who have been entrusted with a promo copy.

Among his fellow musicians, Tim Berg is heavily supported by Tiësto, Eric Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Sebastian Ingrosso, David Tort, Tom Novy, Mark Brown among many, many others.

Among his most recent productions, Tim aims toward musical flawlessness, experimenting passionately with sounds while forcing the
unexpected into rhythm in a way that not a pair of feet can stay still.

With a somewhat anonymous approach, Tim Berg fills up a club space of surprises – with heavy bombs suddenly dropping in the room and leaving the crowd disoriented. Tim Berg makes you dance to music you’ve never danced to before. Tim Berg races your heart and mind. Tim Berg pulls away the safety net from under your feet. Tim Berg is the DJ scattering musical cocaine over the floor. Tim Berg is your new drug. And he’s here to stay.

Madis Sillamo, also known as Beat Service, started his musical career in the late 90’s.

Can you imagine a punk-rock band drummer who – whenever was left alone in the practice room – was messing around with true ‘disco beats’? Madis has always been fascinated by the rhythms and electronic dance music, but playing drums in a local punk-rock band was his only output for his passion in that time.Luckily, it didn’t take long before he changed his musical path and completely dedicated himself to the music he truly loves.

Madis discovered his true passion: deejaying and producing. After ‘mainstream’ DJ’ing all around Estonia for about 5 years he decided to leave the ‘job’ and start creating his own productions.

With first productions came first serious EDM gigs as well and by now Madis has played in some of the greatest club music events and festivals in Estonia.

The first years of producing, Madis spent most of his time finding and perfecting his sound. His friends gave him the necessary feedback and so it didn’t take long before his first release was a fact: a remix for DNS Project’s ‘Invisible Touch’. After great success and support by the DJ elite, there was no doubt: Madis had found his kickoff to a career in producing. Teaming up with DNS Project under the Polymental guise, he knew the only way was up.

In 2008, he felt it was time to enforce his reputation as a solo producer and found his own sound. A sound that’s developed ever since. Progressive rhythms, huge basslines, haunting percussions and memorable breakdowns – there’s no way of getting around it. Tracks ‘Nectar’, ‘Insider’, ‘Sky Café’, ‘Waiting For The Sun’, ‘Hiding To Nothing’ and ‘Cut And Run’, along with remixes for the likes of Rex Mundi, Susana and George Acosta all left a memorable impression on the clubbers, DJ’s and anyone into his sound. The first international Beat Service gigs are confirmed and with many new productions on the way, we’re pretty sure to hear a whole lot more of this passionate music-freak.

or the better part of the last decade Ernesto van der Meij & Edwin Koelewijn (better known to the community at large as Ernesto vs. Bastian) have been crafting their very own electronic dance formula.

Intro: For the better part of the last decade Ernesto van der Meij & Edwin Koelewijn (better known to the community at large as Ernesto vs. Bastian) have been crafting their very own electronic dance formula. In that time the Dutch duo have propelled themselves to the forefront of trance (& dance) culture, through stellar productions, revered remixes and show-stealing DJ performances. With Ernesto at the deck controls and Bastian the master studio-head, together they form a perfect musical symbiosis. With club hits like ‘Who’s The Starter’, ‘Stranger In Paradise’ and ‘Thrill’ and all-out anthem-calibre works like ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ in their discography, they’ve brought roadblock queues to dancefloors the world over.

2001 – 2004: Meeting in 2001 Edwin and Ernesto quickly recognised not only a musical affinity, but also the essential chemistry to form a lasting production partnership. They collaborated quickly throughout 2002/03 on the highly-regarded ‘early years’ releases ‘Lonely People’, ‘Bastian’s Dream’, ‘Who’s The Starter’ & ‘A Seconds After Trancefer’. The latter two tracks were picked up by the fledgling Anjunabeats offshoot Hard On Recordings and on their UK release brought the pair to the to the attention of Judge Jules. With the tracks given much airtime, it set the stage for a happening that was to give E vs. B the most incontrovertible of career breakthroughs.

2005 – 2006: Wholly unique (in so much as it was not only entitled ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ but lyrically was actually about listening to the titular Pink Floyd album) – the release became one of 2005 biggest dance tracks. Smashed by Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten & Judge Jules, (who picked out for the Anthem of 2005 accolade on his Radio 1 show), it was subsequently signed in 30 countries.

‘Dark Side’ is probably the most crystallised example of how unique & multifaceted the Ernesto vs. Bastian sound is. In measures never exactly proportioned before, it takes trance & pop and incorporates them with creative and highly innovative songwriting techniques. The track was further notable still as it marked the unification of Ernesto vs Bastian with their new label home, High Contrast Recordings.

E. vs. B – The DJs: The success of that track was also a major catalyzing factor in E vs. B’s DJ career. Over the course of the 18 months following its release, they powered up the ranks of DJs, playing a near-uncountable number of high profile clubs and festivals. Mysteryland, Dance Valley & Pleasure Island have all shook to their intoxicating blend of tunes and pin-point sharp mixing. A close kinship with Trance Energy has also seen them play twice at the tent-pole event. Outside of their home country they’ve also spun at Love Parade, Berlin, in Ibiza for Mambo, live on Radio 1, at the goliath Sunrise Festival in Poland and dozens of other countries and 100s of other events worldwide.

2007: It took another 2 years for the follow ups to ‘Dark Side’ to start flowing. Once they were back in the seat though ‘Unchained Melody’, ‘Super Jupiter’, ‘Laserbrain’ & ‘Stranger in Paradise’ rapidly followed – all spreading their audio gospel to a wider and wider audience.

It was also at the start of 2007 that Ernesto vs. Bastian launched their radio show platform. Since then The Next Level has been broadcast weekly in a three hour format which takes in new releases, E vs. B in the mix and a one hour guest-mix spot. The show quickly took hold and is now broadcast on FM and internet stations in 30 countries. It is available as a Podcast through iTunes, where it enjoys a similarly avid following.

2008 – 2009: In 2008 the pair recorded the charged, viscerally exciting ‘Thrill’ – a track that was selected for the prestigious position of Trance Energy anthem in that year. By the middle of the year their focus shifted to the production of their debut album, ‘Authenticity’ (as much a statement of intent as it was simply an album title). It was released in the latter half of the year and again, through its imaginative 12 strong battery of tracks raised E vs. B name to yet greater heights. As 2009 broke the big post-‘Authenticity’ tracks started to roll, with the rapacious sounds of February’s ‘Laserbrain’ and October’s ‘Killer Tone’ once again bringing uproar to dancefloors.

Walsh & McAuley is the collective name of the increasingly influential Northern Irish live DJ act and music producers Marc Walsh and Ciaran McAuley.

Walsh & McAuley is the collective name of the increasingly influential Northern Irish live DJ act and music producers Marc Walsh and Ciaran McAuley.

The Walsh & McAuley sound spans a wide range of music styles as both guys have a fanatical ear for music of all genres, although their productions and live sets typically fall into the genres of Trance and Progressive. They are the exciting next chapter in a long line of successful DJ duo combinations and have often been compared to, and collaborated with, their genre-defining compatriots Agnelli & Nelson.

Walsh & McAuley’s steady rise has really gathered pace over the past few years, with countless tracks produced by the duo being signed and released by many successful labels, including tracks featured on albums by the hugely influential Roger Shah, DJ ATB and a collection of Armada albums including Armada’s Top 100 to name but a few.

Alongside their production successes, live performance acts by the guys have included many regular slots around their indigenous Northern Ireland, consistently appearing at the country’s top festival ‘Planetlove’ and club venues, supporting some of the world’s highest-ranking DJ’s along the way, most recently including Roger Shah, First State, Solarstone, Ronski Speed, Kyau & Albert, and Markus Schulz at Northern Irelands super club ‘Lush’ in Portrush.

With further releases and numerous collaborations coming up in 2010, alongside more big-name producers and vocalists, we will certainly be hearing a lot more from this Northern Irish duo in the near future!

Early Days
Marc Walsh and Ciaran McAuley, two of the Northern Ireland dance music scene’s brightest, young, up and coming DJ/Producers, first met in 2006 when they were pitted, face to face, against each other in competition for the opportunity to play on the White Isle of Ibiza at that summer’s Judgment Sunday.

It would appear fate intervened in the potential rivalry between the pair, and against the odds, the two budding artists set aside their differences and struck up a creative partnership that has gone from strength to strength producing tracks and putting in highly successful DJ sets under the alias ‘Walsh & McAuley’.

It was not long before their talent was noticed by internationally recognized dance label ‘Bittersweet’, a Cloud 9 Dance imprint. With a lot of their earlier tracks signed to ‘Bittersweet’, Walsh & McAuley productions are available to download via all top online stores including iTunes, Beatport and Audiojelly.

Although as individuals the two draw influences from different DJs and producers, as a team they have found a sound that is unique to them and has been stamped on each of their productions.

It is still just the beginning for Walsh & McAuley and the future shows fantastic potential with their productions already receiving ample airplay and support from some of the world’s top DJs including Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and Agnelli & Nelson to name but a few.

2010 has already seen huge, worldwide support for Walsh & McAuley productions, including two Top 10 appearances in Audiojelly’s Top 100 Trance Tunes, for the widely revered tracks ‘Sea of Lights’ and ‘Forgotten’ both featured on Roger Shah’s Magic Island album ‘Music for Balearic People vol 2′.

With many more releases and countless collaborations scheduled with some of the biggest names around, Walsh & McAuley’s rise looks set to continue long into 2010 and beyond!

For Susana, the future’s looking bright and shiny. And that goes way beyond her little girl’s dream.

Born in and living in the surroundings of the EDM Mecca, the Dutch city of Amsterdam, Susana grew up in an open-minded place, surrounded with music. As a little girl, she used to sing along with her dad’s records, learning how to use her voice by mimicking the singers. At the age of 15, she decided to take things to a different level and explored her vocal abilities by taking professional singing lessons, followed by several live performances at her high school. Susana was getting to know various areas in music, singing in a rock/alternative band and taking vocal lessons in jazz and classical. Even though she still had the little girl’s dream to make it in music, Susana’s versatility and open mind had her travelling in South America for 5 months and grow a passion for anything related to its culture. Just as she was studying Latin American Studies, it turned out she was at the eve of her musical breakthrough.

The first record
All the years of training, singing and performing came together when Susana discovered the wonders of Electronic Dance Music. Susana:“I never really explored electronic dance music. This changed when a neighbor of my family, after having seen me perform with my band, decided to introduce me to producers Raz Nitzan and Adrian Broekhuyse in 2003, when I was 19 years old. Just a couple of months later we met in the studio and recorded the vocals for Ernesto vs Bastian’s ‘Dark Side of the Moon’, which was released in 2005. From the moment I got involved with trance, a whole new world opened up to me. I really fell for its powerful emotional energy and I’ve been on a journey of discovery ever since.”

With Raz Nitzan and Adrian Broekhuyse as her guides, Susana was given several big opportunities. Susana:” I feel they have really guided me over the years and I can always go to them for advice. Of course talent, putting your mind to it, working hard and seizing opportunities are very important to make it in the music business but I definitely wouldn’t be where I am right now if it wasn’t for them.”

Her second big hit, and second release at the same time, was ‘Shivers’, a collaboration with number one DJ Armin van Buuren. Susana and the special, warm sound of her voice, became a hot topic in the dance scene. And that still hasn’t changed. In the past 5 years, Susana worked with top notch producers such as Talla 2XLC, Rex Mundi and Dash Berlin, as well as providing vocals for two follow-up tracks with Ernesto vs. Bastian and Armin van Buuren. The many live performances she did, amongst one for a 20.000 strong trance crowd at the Armin Only show in the Jaarbeurs venue in Utrecht, rocked crowds all across the globe. A strong on-stage personality and live performance make her a beloved artist to have or see on stage.

Fulltime music
In 2008, when Susana was heading for the top at full force, she decided not to go for her Master degree in Latin American Studies, but choose for a fulltime career in music instead. Susana:”It didn’t take long for me to realize that music is really nearest to my heart and that I would be crazy to not at least try to make my childhood dreams come true. So I basically decided it was time to give it a chance.” That chance worked out just fine, cause only two years later she’s up for her first artist album. On May 7th, 2010, ‘Closer’ will hit the stores.

Closer
‘Closer’ is Susana’s artist album, which has the format of a compilation, with each track being a collaboration with other producers in dance music. Dash Berlin, Omnia & The Blizzard, Mike Shiver, Josh Gabriel, Julian Vincent, Tenishia and Stoneface & Terminal are some of the names that Susana worked with, setting forth a diverse sound. It doesn’t come around very often, that an EDM singer releases a complete artist album. But with a progressive mind and strong determination, Susana is setting new rules for her musical career and that of other EDM vocalists. Susana:”I think that, by pushing boundaries and giving vocalists a bigger platform, the EDM scene is deepening and broadening itself even more.”

Little girl’s dream
All in all, her journey in dance music and the vocal world has been one of success, adventure and opportunities. For Susana, the future’s looking bright and shiny. And that goes way beyond her little girl’s dream. Susana:”I think if someone, ten years ago, would have predicted that I would be where I am right now, working with the people I work with, I don’t think I would have believed it. It’s kind of mind-blowing when I think back to that little girl singing in her bedroom, daydreaming about being a professional singer one day. And look at me now, my childhood dreams are coming true as we speak!“
