Jorge Nava

Jorge Nava is undoubtedly one of the most talented producers on the International electronic music industry.  At only 20 years of age he’s already being continually supported by big names like: Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, Roger Shah & Dash Berlin. Focusing mainly on Progressive Trance, this youngster has all the potential of becoming a worldwide phenomenon.

Ready, Set, Go
Since a very young age found his guilty pleasure on music, resulting on him playing several music instruments like Guitar, Piano & Violin. Not too long after this, the likes of Electronic Music got to his doorsteps, completely changing en evolving the way he looked at things.

“It was a life-changing experience when I opened my mind to new boundaries through Electronic Music” – He says. After finishing his very first song ‘Deep Nights – Memories Of Love’ and getting signed to Roger Shah’s Magic Island Recordings, Jorge also engaged a collaboration project with Mr. Balearic Roger Shah under the Nisha guise, and that’s how ‘Nisha – Spirit Of Ha’ was born -  “Spirit Of Ha’ is one of the most significant works I’ve ever done, it was my first collaboration with one of my music Idols, and so it turned out to be very special”.

His Balearic releases as Deep Nights & Nisha under Magic Island have sounded all around the globe, earning him a position on Armin Van Buuren’s & Armada Downloads Top 15 Charts.

Constant Evolution
After consolidating himself with his Balearic followers, Jorge focused on evolving his style on every single track resulting in a very particular fusion of Trance, Progressive, House & Techno – “I don’t like staying put on one single style of music, I’ve always believed that genres are more limiting than helpful, so no matter what I do I always blend different music styles… In the end there’s no rule that says: make things just by the book, right?”.

And so collaborations & remixes for artists from all over the territory like DJ Eco (U.S.A.), Franz Hlusek/Fast Distance (Belgium), Norka (Ecuador), Walsh & McAuley (U.K.)  & Tucandeo (Ireland), landed on Jorge’s studio.

All this has turned into Jorge’s music being featured in various compilations all around the globe, such as: ‘Magic Island: Music For Balearic People Mixed by Roger Shah – Vol. 1 & 2’, ‘Trance 100 Vol. 3’, ‘Ibiza Top Trance Tunes’, ‘Trance 100 2010 Vol. 2’, ‘Massive Trance Vol. 1:  Mixed by Three Drives’ ‘A State Of Trance Radio – Top 15’ ‘Trance Top 100 – Vol. 6 & 8’ ‘Armada Sessions 2010’ ‘Armin Van Buuren’s A State of Trance Podcast’ and most recently in 2011 on ‘Rielism: Mixed by Sied Van Riel’ with his latest single ‘Somewhere I Belong’ made in collaboration with Tucandeo & Swedish singer Frida Harnesk.

On the latest news, Jorge has found himself working in the studio with the worldwide vocal sensation Zara Taylor, mostly known for her big hits ‘Lost’ & ‘Found’ made together with Roger Shah under his ‘Sunlounger’ guise.

Here Comes The DJ
After being totally focused on producing his own music, Jorge has also decided to make his own venture on the DJ world – “One of the things I like the most of Djing, is that one can deliver to the people a very own musical experience, It’s amazing how music can move somebody’s world for a moment and make them all forget from all the bad things that surround our sometimes dull & boring common lives, it’s like creating a whole new reality out of thin-air”.

As usual Jorge has kept himself away from locking himself up in just one music genre for his DJ sets, playing  Progressive, Techno , Trance, Dubstep, House and some others – “As I said before, for me good music is the one that transmits a special vibe, and this is not limited to just one music genre, that’s for sure. – “My main goal when Djing is to achieve something special for the people, and ‘special’ surely doesn’t come in just one form of music”

Sharing stage with main names like Deadmau5, Dash Berlin, Boris Brejcha, Audrey Napoleon, Ummet Ozcan, and many more, Jorge has proven to be one of the people’s favorites on each and every venue he visits. – “It’s amazing the way that people have embraced the things I do, it’s a dream come true”

Earlier this year Jorge’s got the privilege of touring in Mexico with Dash Berlin and being his official warm-up. – “Touring with Jeff (Dash Berlin) is amazing, he’s a great guy and we became good friends while on the road, but at the same time, warming up for a name as big as Dash Berlin it’s a huge responsibility, setting the mood on the dance floor for someone to smash it hard is not a task to be taken lightly as many people would think”

The Next Step
After consolidating his career as a Producer & DJ in the past few years getting constant support from the world’s greatest DJ’s, and having the privilege of being the only Armada Music asset in Mexico, Jorge keeps his feet on the ground and his eyes looking to the stars, planning his next move.
