Fine Taste

Fine Taste is a young house music duo from the Netherlands, formed by talented producers Freek Geuze and Johan Vermeulen. The project was launched at the start of 2006 after the guys decided that they should bundle their forces on electronic music production. Nowadays, the guys are considered as one of the fastest upcoming projects in house music.

In the course of 2006 the guys entered the studio with the main objective to produce dance floor oriented house music. This resulted in some great new tracks under their ‘Fine Taste’ guise, which were immediately picked up by top record labels. After signing the first record deals to Flow Vinyl (Portugal), Baroque (UK) and Extrema Records (Netherlands), Freek and Johan were determined to prove that these first successes were not just a flash in the pan.

Their next bomb ‘More Grey Than Blue’ was instantly picked up by Sander Kleinenberg, who signed it for his label Little Mountain Recordings. The track reached top spots in the charts of all major download shops; Fine Taste’s distinctive sound was now supported by all top dj’s in the world.

From then on, things began to move very rapidly for the guys; they were overwhelmed with remix requests by influential labels such as Curvve, Armada and Global Underground. Furthermore, the start of their DJ activities in 2007 turned out to be a great success; playing at various major events and at some of the best clubs in the Netherlands, Fine Taste have already shared the booth with Sander Kleinenberg, Danny Howells, John Digweed and Hernan Cattaneo.

Few people doubt that the guys are two of the biggest rising stars in the house music industry. Fine Taste have become a frequently asked DJ duo to play at the best events all across the world. With both Johan and Freek being aged this young, and a lot more killer productions in the pipeline, it seems clear that this is just the start.
