As one of EDM’s most promising and beloved trio’s, Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren form a more than extraordinary league of musicians. Joined forces since 2005, producers Matt Cerf and Shawn Mitiska and singer/songwriter Jaren Cerf have been making waves since bursting onto the dance scene with their first hit ‘Light The Skies’. The mix of emotional prog-trance, strong vocals, striking lyrics and powerful beats turned out to be the formula to worldwide success, resulting in worldwide club hits such as ‘Saved Again’, ‘You Never Said’, ‘Man On The Run’, ‘Beggin’ You’ and more. International Dance Music Award nominations came in for ‘Light The Skies’, ‘You Never Said’ and Dash Berlin collab ‘Man On The Run’.

Producer Matt Cerf and Shawn Mitiska met in 2004 and started remixing tracks for other producers, including the likes of Serge Devant, Eelke Kleijn and Lange. Both producers managed to built a successful career in dance music, next to the CM&J project. Singer/songwriter Jaren had always been involved with music, writing songs and developing her own voice and sound. Shortly after the first few Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren hits, she was invited to collaborate with 4-time DJ Mag’s no. 1 DJ Armin van Buuren, with the beautiful ‘Unforgivable’ as the result. More and more requests to work with the talented lady came in, and next to releasing her first solo album ‘Fixin It Upright’, she spent her time writing songs and doing vocals for producers such as John O’Callaghan, Santiago Nino and many others.

After a few months of solo-work, Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren returned to the stage in 2011 and after more than 6 years of collaborating, the debut album of the remarkable trio will finally land in 2012. ‘Give Me A Sound’ is everything and more, with the significant sound that so many have grown to love. Featuring high class collaborations with the likes of Dash Berlin, Pulser, Rank 1, Audien, Chris Jones, Fine Taste and many more, the 13 tracks of the CM&J album each shine their own light.
